Barry Wilson Architecture
Your church building is much more than just wood and nails
or brick and glass; it’s a tool for service, a physical expression of your
ministry, your face to the community. It
can either hamper your work or enhance it.
Your church building should be
both inviting and inspiring while supporting the needs of your congregation,
its ministries and activities. In short
the design and beauty of the church should bring honor and glory to God and
blessing to His people.
At the same time designing churches isn’t like designing
buildings for businesses or other institutions.
Churches have unique considerations, unique challenges. For example, much of the planning and
sometimes even the construction are done by volunteers; construction funds must
be raised from the congregation and other supporters; and the final building
must often facilitate several different functions (worship, education,
administration, outreach).
Building projects can be time consuming and confusing, and
sap energy that should be used for your real mission. Let us help.
At BARRY WILSON ARCHITECTURE we specialize in the architecture of
churches and their related ministries, and we understand those things that make
serving churches a special work. Our
approach is to keep the church involved throughout the entire project, insuring
that we translate the needs of your people and your ministry to the design of
your new buildings.
When the time comes for your ministry to expand and you
begin the process to choose the architect who will become a part of that work,
please keep us in mind. I would welcome the
opportunity to meet with you informally, with no obligation, to discuss any
building plans your church may have. You
