Your church building is much more than just wood and nails or brick and glass;   it’s a tool for service, a physical expression of your ministry, your face to the community.  It can either hamper your work or enhance it.   Your church building should be both inviting and inspiring while supporting the needs of your congregation, its ministries and activities.  In short the design and beauty of the church should bring honor and glory to God and blessing to His people. 

At the same time designing churches isn’t like designing buildings for businesses or other institutions.  Churches have unique considerations, unique challenges.  For example, much of the planning and sometimes even the construction are done by volunteers; construction funds must be raised from the congregation and other supporters; and the final building must often facilitate several different functions (worship, education, administration, outreach).
